CRACKER CRUMB CHICKEN NUGGETS

Crispy air fryer CRACKER CRUMB CHICKEN NUGGETS 🍗🙌🏻🥳 McDonald’s stops were few and far between when I was little (“for road trips only,” my parents said — a sneaky bribery tactic used to get me and my brother to sit still for 7 hours straight), which made happy meal moments extra special.


I always ordered the 4 pc. chicken nuggets (with sweet & sour sauce), and still have a special place in my heart for those nuggs, but these ones...these ones! Are so. much. better. Here’s why: 1) cracker crumbs = crispier, crunchier coating 2) guaranteed *real* chicken makes the meal more enjoyable 3) options options options!





CRACKER CRUMB CHICKEN NUGGETS

(gluten-free • grain-free • keto-friendly)



What you need: four ingredients and 15 minutes. Yep, that’s it. Use any flavor cracker your heart desires and add additional spices (paprika, cayenne, ranch seasoning) to jazz ‘em up!




INGREDIENTS



• 2 cups finely crushed almond flour crackers (I used @simplemills sea salt flavor)

• 1 lb. chicken breast, cut into 2” pieces

• 2 eggs • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder



INSTRUCTIONS


1)Preheat air fryer to 390F.

2) In a medium sized bowl, combine cracker crumbs and garlic powder. Add beaten eggs to another bowl. Using hands, dip a chicken piece in egg and transfer to cracker crumb bowl; toss fully to coat. Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining chicken pieces.

3) Once all the chicken is breaded, place it in the preheated air fryer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, or until crispy.
